About Baildon Guitar School

Baildon Guitar School is me, Rob Bromhead, an experienced teacher and accomplished musician.

I’ve been teaching for close to fifteen years and have been a professional musician for more than twenty. I teach both privately and in schools, including Beckfoot Grammar in Bingley, Education Bradford and Calderdale Music Service.

I’m experienced at teaching all ages, from early years right up to adults. I’m happy to take on committed beginners or those who want to improve their style or technique. I teach both classical and electric guitar in styles including jazz, pop, rock and blues.

Unlike many teachers, I have played professionally throughout my career. I’ve played in a variety of bands but it’s fair to say my heart is in jazz guitar. I currently perform solo gigs and also as part of Appel4, a gypsy jazz band.

I’m proud of the success my students achieve. With my help, they typically reach Merit or Distinction level. Even if exams are not your goal, I can help you achieve a level of playing that has both technical merit and musicality.

Lessons take place at my home (inhabited by me, my wife Sara, our two boys Herbie and Wilf, and Florence the dog) at 19 Green Road, Baildon, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD17 5HL.

I believe that Baildon Guitar School is the perfect teaching environment for adults and children seeking private guitar lessons in Bradford and West Yorkshire, including Baildon, Shipley, Bingley, Guiseley, Menston and Ilkley.
